If you own a Volkswagen Golf 7 and want to upgrade your infotainment system with a large display and a head unit that runs Android Auto and CarPlay, look no further than this 9-inch Alpine model.
Shared on Instagram by the car audio specialists at Audiofile-Incar, the Golf upgrade is based on the Alpine X903D-G7, which features an upgraded CPU, built-in Bluetooth for easy wireless connections, CarPlay and Android Auto support, as well as integrated navigation with support for 48 countries.

Deezer has a decent selection of podcasts, but Spotify is a step ahead of its rival. Then there’s the integration with Google Maps and Waze. This means that while you’re navigating, you. Deezer has a similar feature within the app for identifying the song that’s playing wherever you are. In a different vein, Spotify has the Crossfade feature for eliminating the gaps between songs. Both streaming services work with Carplay and Android Auto, but Spotify can also be integrated with Google Maps and Waze. As you can see in the upgrade here, the 9-inch display fits the Golf 7 console like a glove and seamlessly integrates with the rest of the controls. Alpine itself says this is the largest screen available for the Golf Mk 7, also coming with the company’s signature One Look system.

Access the Google Maps Settings from your picture ID icon at the top right of the Explore tab and tap Settings. Under Settings, find and tap Navigation or Navigation Settings (Android).

Alpine’s innovative ‘One Look’ split-screen technology allows you to view the navigation map and audio playback information at one glance. This eliminates the need to switch between different applications. You can switch from full screen to One Look view with just a swipe on the display, and you can simply drag the navi map to be shown in the left or in the right window,” Alpine explains.
Maps It goes without saying that this is one of the best head unit upgrades for the Volkswagen Golf 7, but unfortunately, it’s not something that everybody can afford. Because at the end of the day, it all comes down to the price of the whole thing, and unsurprisingly, this Alpine model doesn’t come cheap.
Depending on where you look, the Alpine X903D-G7 easily goes over $1,500 – Amazon UK, for example, sells this approximately £1,450, which for our American readers, it means the device costs over $1,820.
If this high price tag isn’t a problem for you, then the Alpine X903D-G7 is one of the best upgrades for the Golf 7, especially given its large 9-inch screen.MapsDeezerGoogle
